For Le Vintage, Maison Lanson selects only the finest grapes from plots in the Grand and Premier Crus regions. This great wine is made according to the original principle of Champagne vinification, without malolactic fermentation. It matures for at least 9 years in the Cellars, to achieve a unique aromatic complexity. The passion and patience of our people give rise to champagnes of great aromatic intensity, enable to transcend time gracefully, without ever losing their characteristic freshness.
2014
Vintage 2014 is the result of a precise blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay exclusively from Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. The blend between these two emblematic Champagne grape varieties offers a perfect balance between the fruitiness, structure and power of Pinot Noir, and the elegance and minerality of Chardonnay.

2014 was a year marked by particularly contrasting weather conditions. A mild, rainy autumn and winter transitioned into a prolonged dry spell. Summer bore an autumnal touch, with cool temperatures and frequent rainfall. September welcomed the return of radiant sunshine, enabling the grapes to reach perfect ripeness and paving the way for a wonderful harvest. Predominantly composed of Pinot Noir, Le Vintage 2014 emerges as a wine of great finesse, radiating exceptional brilliance.
The Vintage displays a bright, dazzling gold colour.
The nose delivers an intense, generous, exquisite bouquet. Vibrant candied citrus fruits intertwine seamlessly with delicate notes of nougat and praline, delivering profound aromatic complexity.
The palate is intensely fruity. Flavours of candied lemon and marzipan prolong the perception of sweet delicacies picked up on the nose, creating a chiselled wine that is both intense and well-defined. The lingering finish enchants with its delicacy.
Our Chef Ambassador Arto Rastas suggests pairing this champagne with ravioli of chicken, mushrooms in hazelnut sauce, parsley oil, comté cheese and smoked almonds.
