Luke Nguyen

Maison Lanson is proud to count among its ambassadors Luke Nguyen, an Australian Chef of Vietnamese origin born in 1978. Luke Nguyen has made a name for himself hosting several cooking shows, including Luke Nguyen's Vietnam and Luke Nguyen's France. He appeared in the second season of MasterChef Australia as a guest Chef, and has also been a judge on the TV show MasterChef Vietnam for several years.
Luke realized his dream at the age of 23, when he opened his first restaurant, the Red Lantern, in Sydney, offering gourmet cuisine inspired by Asia and the world.

"As a chef and restaurateur, you have to tell the story of the dish; it's about the history, the culture, the country and the people. I'm a storyteller in my own right through my books and TV shows; I want to bring the stories of Vietnam's unique cuisine to the world."

Luke Nguyen's culinary identity, inspired by Asia and his many travels, is dedicated to conveying his culture and origins.

"I'm proud to collaborate with Maison Lanson, whose vision I share of using the finest ingredients to create the finest products: Champagne Lanson with its wines and me with my cooking."

A journey of the senses

Luke's passion for gastronomy comes from his parents, owners of the Pho Cay Du restaurant in Cabramatta. At the age of 23, he opened his first restaurant in Australia. Within a few years, the Red Lantern was recognized as the best Asian and Vietnamese restaurant in the country. In 2008, he received the title of "Australia's Most Successful Young Vietnamese Entrepreneur" and the prestigious "Best Ethnic Restaurant and Catering Business Award". Today, his eight restaurants are helping to raise the profile of Vietnamese cuisine around the world.

He believes that as a chef and restaurateur, his mission is to tell the story of the dish. He wants the world to know the stories behind Vietnam's unique cuisine.
