Over 260 years of creation
Founded in 1760, Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne Houses. Drawing on our family heritage and unique expertise, the women and men of Lanson have been guided for more than 260 years by their respect towards nature, their care for others and their creativity.

Adoption of the Maltese Cross as the company emblem
In 1798, Maison Lanson adopted the Maltese Cross as its emblem, in tribute to the son of the house’s founder, a member of the Hospitaller Order of Malta. This symbol of openness, kindness and hospitality, since reinvented as the Croix Lanson, still adorns the Maison's bottles.

Creation of the first Lanson Rosé
Maison Lanson cellar records show that the first Rosé was created in 1833.

Allocation of the Royal Warrant
On December 4, 1900, Maison Lanson received the Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria, the prestigious patent awarded by the British monarch to suppliers to the Royal Court of England. Consistently renewed since then, this award symbolises a mark of distinction and trust, a testament to the close relationship the House has with the United Kingdom.

Birth of Black Label
Victor Lanson imagines an iconic cuvée that he names "Le Black Label", a name that echoes the House's spirit of openness and pays tribute to its links with the Royal Court of England. In 2023, Hervé Dantan reinvents Le Black Label with Le Black Création.

Launch of Rosé Lanson
Maison Lanson decided to make its Rosé Champagne a signature cuvée that embodies the elegance and freshness characteristic of the Lanson style, revealing delicate fruity notes. In 2024, Hervé Dantan reinterprets Le Rosé with Le Rosé Création.

Building a priceless heritage
In 1976, the Lanson family decided to build up a collection of its most exceptional and promising Vintages. Today, this ever-expanding collection has become a collection of priceless treasures, embodying the memory of the House of Lanson and paying tribute to the unique expertise of its successive Cellar Masters.

Lanson, Official Champagne of Wimbledon
La Maison becomes a partner of the Wimbledon tournament, the oldest tennis tournament in the world and one of the four Grand Slams on the annual professional tennis circuit.

Noble Cuvée is born
Maison Lanson unveils its prestige cuvée Noble Cuvée. In 2022, this exceptional champagne is reinvented as Noble Champagne.
