A Unique Expertise
With Le Rosé Création, Hervé Dantan pays tribute to the history of Maison Lanson, one of the first Champagne Houses to produce a rosé, in 1833. A permanent feature of its range since 1952, this blended champagne embodies the characteristic elegance and freshness of the Lanson style, revealing delicate fruity notes.
Hervé Dantan perpetuates and enriches this unique expertise by reinterpreting Le Rosé with Le Rosé Création. Each Création comes with a number, in reference to the number of blends made since the first Lanson Rosé was created in 1952.
The art of precision
At each harvest, Hervé Dantan reselects a number of Crus to include in the composition of the blend.
Pinot Noirs from Loches-sur-Ource boast generosity and fruitiness, those from Dizy are characterised by precision and elegance, while Verzenay offers sophisticated, complex Pinot Noirs. The Trépail parcels, meanwhile, stand out for the richness and vivacity of their Chardonnays.
The Rosé Reserve Wine Culture
The uniqueness of Le Rosé Création is revealed through the exclusive use of rosé reserve wines, a unique winemaking method in Champagne.
Like creating a legacy for the next generations, these rosé blends from previous years improve on the previous harvests by offering new sensations: the wine boasts ever more complexity and depth while preserving its freshness. Its aromas gently soften, its delicate colour becomes harmonious.
The Delicacy Of The Blended Rosé
The blend of our Rosé Création is enhanced by adding a subtle portion of red wines from emblematic terroirs: Pinot Noirs from Bouzy and Les Riceys, along with some Meuniers from the Vallée de la Marne.
They offer red wines that marry well, enhancing and complementing one another, in order to be blended with rosé reserve wines and those from the year’s harvest.
The subtle addition of these wines gives Le Rosé Création its signature salmon-pink colour.
The Lanson Signature Style
Le Rosé Création perfectly embodies the elegance, freshness and fruitiness of the Lanson style.
To take this freshness even further, we follow the original principle of Champagne vinification, without malolactic fermentation. Mindful of this founding vision, Hervé Dantan allowed himself the freedom to combine this traditional method with a small proportion of wines that have been through malolactic fermentation.
This demanding approach lends the wine a rich aromatic palette, bringing red and citrus fruits together.
A resolutely Lanson style conveyed through a long ageing period in the cellars.
Le Rosé Création has a beautiful subtle pink salmon colour with fine, light bubbles.
The fine scents of raspberry, pomegranate and blood orange enhance a delicate note of rose.
On the palate, a beautiful mineral crispness is accompanied by subtle floral and fruity notes of strawberry, redcurrant and pomelo.
